No. All my hypnotherapy sessions take place online. The Hypnotherapy Directory lists a number of therapists who work in person, if you feel that this is a better option for you.

The online sessions take place using video calls.
You will need to make sure that your space is safe and that there will be no interruptions that could stop you from relaxing.
The space does not need to be quiet, but it is important that you are comfortable.
It is possible to enter trance while sitting in a chair, but I strongly recommend that your head is supported. As a general rule, if you can’t doze off where you are, then you won’t be able to enjoy the full relaxation of a deep trance.
I need to be able to see you during the trance, so please make sure that you can position your device somewhere stable.
If you are using your phone, you must be able to stand it up somewhere (egg boxes make very serviceable phone holders).
You will also need to set an alarm to go off at the end of the session.
This is to make sure that you are able to bring yourself out of trance at the end of the session in the event that the call drops during trance

No. Many children find solution focused hypnotherapy very helpful, but I do not work with people under the age of 18. I am happy to provide details of other CPHT-trained solution focused hypnotherapists who do work with children. Alternatively, you can look at The Hypnotherapy Directory.

One of the great things about solution focused hypnotherapy is that it can work relatively quickly and it is often possible to make lasting and significant changes with only six to eight sessions. I recommend committing to four sessions to begin with.
